this place is more like a 3.5 out of 5 stars. Located right off the freeway, in the same plaza as gulf gas station. we ended up getting a lengua burrito and breakfast (huevos rancheros). Both items were about 10 bucks each, and they were really filling. before the food came, they gave us chips with salsa. they also brought out additional sauce (red and green) and i have to say, the green sauce is extremely delicious. i ended up using it for the chips and the food. it does have a kick, but not too bad. The huevos rancheros came with three eggs. along with rice and beans and your choice of flour or corn tortilla. The burrito was good, but the lengua was a bit dry... We also ended up getting horchata and it was pretty good. rich cinnamon flavor. Friendly workers and servers. Also, when you need to pay, you walk up to the counter. I suppose this place is "legit" in terms of mexican food, since the time we were there, we only saw mexican folks come in to eat.

I was in the area and wanted something tasty, so I tried this place. I got the taco plate with Barbacoa and two beef tacos. The lady at the counter was super nice and recommended the Barbacoa. It was more flavorful than the beef, so next time I'll get all Barbacoa. The restaurant was cute and culturally themed. I would have eaten inside if I had time.

I've eaten here dozens of times. I have developed a serious addiction to their caldo de res. I can't stop thinking about it. My coworkers ridicule me for ordering it when it is 100+ degrees outside. I try to try other things, but I just can't. The caldo is so delicious and so cheap that I am too afraid of regretting it to order anything else. They're just loaded with meat and fresh vegetables and so flavorful.

Have been here on multiple occasions and have always liked the tacos, particularly the pastor ones. Have also gotten the fried fish and enjoyed that as well.

Friendly service and authentic Mexican food. The lengua burrito was flavorful. They bring out chips and salsa while you wait for your food. I'd recommend brushing up on your Spanish, it's not required.

Always amazing food when we come here. The service is also super friendly! Love their chicken tacos and the breakfast burritos are the best I've had in Texas so far.
